Concept plans are drawn to scale and show the layout of equipment, fall zones, and main surfaces. No fine detail is given in concept plans, although slopes and falls of the surface are considered and walls are shown where required. These give an overview and budget for playspace, which can be independently installed by going directly to landscape contractor or playground manufacturer.

Detailed plans give a construction level of detail for when seeking approvals or coordinating construction. This includes finished heights, construction details, planting, sections, elevations, set out dimensions and more to ensure the playground can be built from the plan.
